Jenkins scores 15 points to lift Florida A&M to 72-67 overtime victory over Howard

Florida A&M edges Howard 72-67 in OT
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Rasheem Jenkins scored 15 points to lead Florida A&M to a 72-67 overtime victory over Howard on Saturday night.
Brandon Bryant added 14 points for the Rattlers (7-19, 4-9 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who led 32-24 at halftime, but couldn’t stop Howard after the break. The Bison shot 56.5 percent from the floor (13-for-23) in the second half to force overtime.
The Rattlers outscored Howard 13-8 in the overtime, building a 66-60 lead on Jenkins’ 3-pointer with 44 seconds left.
Howard (7-21, 6-7) cut the lead to 69-67 on Kyle Riley’s layup with 14 seconds left, but Larry Jackson hit a free throw and Chris Walker added two more to seal the victory.
Yannick Crowder scored 12 points and had seven rebounds for Florida A&M.
Riley finished with 15 points and Adam Walker — who had 14 rebounds — Paul Kirkpatrick and Curtis White added 10 points each for Howard.
