Smiley his game-winner at buzzer as Buffalo beats Saint Peter’s 77-75

Buffalo nips Saint Peter’s 77-75 in OT
JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Sean Smiley hit a jumper at the buzzer and Buffalo defeated Saint Peter’s 77-75 in overtime on Saturday.
Rodney Pierce scored 22 points, Smiley added 14, and Calvin Betts had 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Bulls (16-8), who have won five games in a row. Titus Robinson also had 13 for the Bulls.
Nick Leon, who scored 25 points for the Peacocks (15-12), hit a 3-pointer with less than 1 second remaining to send the game into overtime tied at 63-63.
The Bulls led the entire second half, and neither team led by more than two points in overtime. The score was tied three times in the extra period.
Buffalo scored 15 points off 23 Peacock turnovers and had 13 steals. Despite shooting 39.7 percent for the game (27 of 68), the Bulls made 3 of 6 field goals and 7 of 8 free throw attempts in overtime.
Wesley Jenkins added 21 points and Ryan Bacon had 14 for the Peacocks.
