3 players leaving Neb. men’s basketball program
LINCOLN, Neb. — Nebraska men’s basketball coach Doc Sadler says three players will leave the program at the end of the semester.
He says he is disappointed to lose forward Quincy Hankins-Cole and guards Myles Holley and Ray Gallegos.
Hankins-Cole, a junior from Roosevelt, N.Y., played in 26 games this past season and averaged 4 points and 2.4 rebounds per game. He says he’s leaving to attend to a personal matter.
Holley, a sophomore from Norfolk, Va., averaged 3.4 points and 2 rebounds over 22 games, while freshman Gallegos, from Jordan, Utah, averaged 3 points and 1.4 rebounds over 30 games. Both indicated they want to be closer to home and Holley says he wants more playing time.
Nebraska finished the season 15-18, including 2-14 in the Big 12.
