Jackson, Upton lead D-backs past White Sox 10-1
TUCSON, Ariz. — Edwin Jackson threw six scoreless innings and Justin Upton hit a three-run homer to lead the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 10-1 win over the Chicago White Sox on Friday.
Jackson scattered five hits and struck out two with three walks.
Freddy Garcia, slated to be Chicago’s fifth starter, gave up seven runs on 11 hits in five innings. He struck out three and walked one.
Upton hit his fourth homer of the spring off Garcia in the third inning.
