Donovan McNabb Traded To Washington Redskins

PHILADELPHIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Quarterback player Donovan McNabb, who had played for the Philadelphia-Eagles for 11 years will now play for Washington-Redskins. The player was traded by the Philadelphia-Eagles team on Sunday in exchange of two draft picks to the Washington Redskins. According to the reports, the Philadelphia Eagles will have a second round draft pick this season and a third or fourth round draft pick likely in 2011 draft pick.

Donovan McNabb, a veteran in the field of the quarterback is the new inclusion in the Washington Redskins‘ team and will have a key position in the new team. The Washington Redskins‘ coach Mike Shanahan has been strengthening the quarterback position of the team. Though the team is left with only few draft selections, it seems that it will hardly matter to the team that is bringing some of the veterans to the field. Mike Shanahan has reportedly signed the quarterback free agent Rex Grossman as a backup. Washington Redskins, after the announcement of the deal mentioned that it had an eye on Donovan McNabb for a long time. The inclusion of the Donovan McNabb will however create problem for Jason Campbell whom he would likely replace. Jason Campbell has been playing for the Washington Redskins for the last 3 and 1/2 years.

Donovan McNabb who has made many significant contributions to the success of the Philadelphia Eagles and has created many records within the team, is excited about the shift. He has reportedly said to the media that he is looking forward to his tenure with the Washington Redskins and to play under the guidance of Coach Mike Shanahan. However, according to a former player of Philadelphia Eagles, this trade can cost the Philadelphia Eagles dearly. The Philadelphia Eagles management has none the less said that the deal was made keeping in mind the best interest of the player and the team.

I want to know if McNabb received the 6 million dollar roster bonus when traded by the eagles to the redskins?
