Hi Lucille or Shaq:
Over a year ago the Orlando Sentinel published an article about Shaq helping families keep their homes. I responded immediately, and then twice more and never heard a word. I live approximately 5 miles from Shaq’s big blue roofed house. I have been to court last week and they told me I must move out by August 27th, 2010. When I first moved to Windermere in 2003, I was making over 200k per year. I had my dream home built. I had left my abusive husband to fulfill my dreams, and brought my mentally handicapped child with me. My husband used to beat her so badly she would have black eyes and bruises all over her body. He was only verbally abusive to me. Everytime I tried to call the police he would rip the phone out of the wall. Anyway, when we moved here the school system worked wonders with her. She has improved 100 per cent since we got away from him. The problem now is my income has gone down to 16k per year. That doesn’t even cover my mortgage for a year. What I am looking for is a 150,000 loan, with a balloon payment of 165,000 in 5 years. If I can’t pay it back, either Shaq or yourself get my house. Its a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom house, 3,200 square feet. No where near as palatial as Shaq or yourself are accustomed to, but it is quite comfortable for us. I payed 264,000 for the house to be built, and it appraised 6 months later for 419,000. I realize now the housing market isn’t what it was 5 years ago, because the most I’ve been offered now is 219,000. Right now I owe the back 230,000. I have just started a new job which will pay me about 100,000 a year. I do own a house outright in Massachusetts which is valued at about 180,000, and a sport fishing boat valued at 89,000. The problem is my husband is living in the house in Ma., and the boat is his. Please help me be able to keep my house. Any assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Louise Mills
