Perkins ejected from Game 5 of East finals
ORLANDO, Fla. — Boston center Kendrick Perkins was ejected from Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals late in the first half after picking up a pair of technical fouls, his sixth and seventh of the postseason.
Perkins was called for a foul, then picked up the two technicals — which could be even costlier than the ejection. Unless the NBA rescinds one of the technicals, Perkins will face a mandatory one-game suspension, which kicks in once a player reaches the seven-tech mark in the postseason.
The NBA will review the calls.
Perkins finished with two points and four rebounds in 16 minutes on Wednesday.
