Washington’s Pondexter headed to Hornets
OKLAHOMA CITY — University of Washington swingman Quincy Pondexter is headed to New Orleans after being taken with the No. 26 pick in the NBA draft.
Pondexter was drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder but will go to the Hornets in a trade that netted New Orleans a pair of first-round picks. The Hornets also get forward Craig Brackins, the 21st overall pick.
Oklahoma City gets No. 11 pick Cole Aldrich and veteran forward Morris Peterson.
