Mueller named Man of the Match

BLOEMFONTEIN - Thomas Mueller was named FIFA Man of the Match after his two goals helped Germany reach the quarter-finals of the World Cup football Sunday.

The Bayern Munich striker scored his first in the 67th minute and added a second three minutes later as Germany tore England apart on the counter-attack in their 4-1 win.

Mueller also played a part in Lukas Podolski’s first half goal as Germany raced into a two-goal lead.
