World Cup attendance to exceed 3 million

JOHANNESBURG - The number of fans attending World Cup matches in South Africa is expected to pass the three-million milestone later Wednesday when Germany meet Spain in the semi-finals.
The figure has only been reached before at the 1994 World Cup in the US and four years ago in Germany.
FIFA also revealed Wednesday that there were still 800 Category 1 tickets available for the semi-final game in Durban.
