The king of the free agents announced on Thursday that he is heading to the Miami Heat and is happy to join the team that already possesses Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. He said that the official numbers are not yet final and it depends on his agent Leon Rose, but mentioned that his choice of team depended more on the players and less on the money.

The man who received the credit for putting together the fearful combination of LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade for the Miami Heat, Pat Riley, said that he was thrilled that LeBron James and Chris Bosh will come and play alongside the great Dwayne Wade for Miami Heat. Dwayne Wade called this a new chapter in the history of the Miami Heat side. Chris Bosh reciprocated the sentiments of the Miami fans with his tweet after the announcement by LeBron James.

LeBron James‘ decision also left the Cleveland Cavaliers fans heartbroken and feeling betrayed. The emotions ran high as a LeBron James jersey was seen being burnt on the city streets hours after the announcement by the star. The emotion of the fans was also echoed in the open letter by team owner Dan Gilbert who called LeBron James a ’self titled king’ and his decision a ‘cowardly betrayal.’ LeBron James had earlier said that his old team is bound to feel the mixed emotions but he said that Akron will always be home for him.
