Lorenzen Wright was the 7th overall pick in the 1996 NBA Drafts. He was picked by the Los Angeles Clippers and went on to play for 13 years. He played his last season for the Cleveland Cavaliers and averaged 8 points with 6.4 rebounds. Some of the reports indicate that he had some financial troubles after the exit from NBA. His house was reportedly foreclosed in May this year. The player has been active in charity in all the years that he has played as a professional player. He founded the Sierra Simone Wright Scholarship Fund after the death of his infant daughter in 2003. He was also among the four players who gave financial help to Travis Butler after his tragic story emerged in the media. All the players were natives of Memphis.
Lorenzen Wright acquired a significant fan base within Memphis as he was part of the high school, University and then the city team. He was having a rough time recently as reports emerged that his foreclosed house was purchased by Golden Gate Warriors guard Monta Ellis in May. As the reports circulated on the web about the missing NBA player, he became a hot search for all those who are looking for updates on the NBA free agents.
