Matt Garza Throws The First No-Hitter For Tampa Bay Rays

ST. PETERSBURG (GaeaTimes.com) — Matt Garza, the right handed pitcher took the game away from from the Tigers in the 26th July 2010. He became the first in the history of Tampa Bay Rays by pitching the first no-hitter in their history. By his super human effort last night the Rays have put forth their challenge at the East American League Title.
In a spectacle of control and power matt Garza was able to seal their 5-0 win over the Tigers in the Tropicana Field. According to Garza he had no idea that he was in course for a no-hit bid till the ninth innings of the match. In a pitch profile consisting of mainly fastballs he was able to get baseball’s fifth no-hitter of the season.
He erupted with joy after getting the last player out. Know for his quirks this was the most successful game for Matt Garza. Incidentally since inception in 1998 Tampa Bay Rays was in the receiving end of four no-hitters namely Derek Lowe , Mark Buehrle , Dallas Braden and Edwin Jackson .
