Manny Acta Discusses Cleveland Indians Plan

DETROIT (GaeaTimes.com)- On Sunday, before the Cleveland Indians’ game against Detroit Tigers, the former’s manager Manny Acta addressed to media sources and talked about the plan of the team for September callups. The manager held that the team management has already started discussions on the callups from the minor league. However, this time the team does not plan to go for a whole lot of callups according to Manny Acta who added that some veterans will be called up to return to the team.

Manny Acta although did not elaborate much on the plans that the Cleveland Indians management is discussing at present, he provided some useful information. Manny Acta maintained that unlike other years, this year the team would not be adding a whole lot of players. He maintained that the team will take in only those players for whom it can provide a play. The manager mentioned that the team most likely will be calling up three pitchers along with some other position players from the minor league brigade.

However, Manny Acta assured that this time fans will get to see Carlos Carrasco wearing the uniform of the Cleveland Indians as the team will definitely bring the minor league player into the team. He also mentioned that name of David Huff but added that all depends on the number of innings that the team can manage. Manny Acta asserted that the team is “not going to call guys up and sit them on the bench”. Manny Acta also mentioned to media sources that outfielder Jordan Brown will be most likely called back into the team. According to the manager, he might return to act as a backup for Travis Hafner.
