Kasen Williams Commits To University Of Washington

SAMMAMISH (GaeaTimes.com)- Kasen Williams, an all-state wide receiver declared on Friday that he has decided to stay back in Washington to play for the University of Washington next season. Kasen Williams announced his decision in front of a large crowd at Skyline High. The wide receiver maintained that he decided to join the Washington Huskies as he always wanted to follow the footsteps of his father who had himself been with the team in the past. The decision of Kasen Williams however, was not only governed by emotions and comes after much consideration. The player who chose Washington Huskies team over Florida Gators, University of Notre Dame, University of California and the Louisiana State University.
The announcement by Kasen Williams has put the Washington Huskies team in a much better position as it has gained commitments from two worthy high school players in the recent past. Kasen Williams is the second major recruit from Washington to commit to the team. Earlier this month tight end player Austin Seferian-Jenkins from the Gig Harbor committed to the team. A senior now at Skyline High School, the 6-foot-3 tall and 200-pound player last season went for 1,200 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns under the Skyline High school. Kasen Williams also went to catch 74 passes and lead his team to win its third consecutive state championship.
The decision of Kasen Williams has not only pleased University of Washington’s head coach Steve Sarkisian, but also the father of the young player, Aaron Williams who had himself remained a wide receiver for the Washington Huskies from 1979 to 1982. Aaron Williams on Friday said to media sources that he is elated to know about the decision of his son and that he had always dreamt that his son will follow his footsteps.
