ARLINGTON (GaeaTimes.com)- The Saturday night NCAA college football game between sixth seeded TCU and the 24th ranked Oregon State University team at Cowboys Stadium, in Arlington, Texas turned out to be an interesting one. Although the TCU did not dominate the game much, they were able to hold Oregon State to a total of 253 yards and its star player Jacquizz Rodgers to 74 yards to register a 30-21 victory over the Oregon State University team.

Although the Oregon State University team tried to come up with some good play, it was the TCU that dominated the field for most of the night. The sixth ranked TCU went for a total of 278 yards run and 81 plays while the Oregon State team went for a total of 51 plays. While at the beginning of the game, Oregon State University team’s starting quarterback Ryan Katz threw impressible touchdowns ranging from 30 to 34 yards. However, he failed to maintain a lead for the rest of the game and finished 9-of-25 for 159 yards. Few will disagree to the fact that on Saturday night the most over difference between the two teams was the running section. While TCU went for a great running with three TCU runners gaining at least of 64 yards, the Oregon State lacked any such effort and only Jacquizz Rodgers gained 74 yards on 18 carries. Ed Wesley of the TCU went with 134 yards on just 17 carries which if calculated turns out to be around 7.9 per rush.

After the game got over, the TCU coach Gary Patterson said to media sources that “the safety was a big deal” and maintained that the play changes a lot if the team goes up by nine. As for Mike Riley, the Coach of the Oregon State University team, he mentioned that he was disappointed that the team did not play much on the drive at the end.
