K-State picked by coaches in Big 12
DALLAS — Big 12 coaches have picked a Kansas team to win the Big 12 this season — and it’s not the Jayhawks.
Kansas State is the coaches’ favorite for the first time, according to the poll released Tuesday. The Wildcats received 10 first-place votes while Kansas got the other two.
Texas was picked to finish third followed by Baylor and Missouri. Next were Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Iowa State.
The Wildcats advanced to the regional finals last season for the first time since 1988 and have nine lettermen back, including high-scoring guard Jacob Pullen.
