Zvonareva, Kvitova sail into quarter-finals of Australian Open

MELBOURNE - World No.2 Vera Zvonareva cruised into the quarter-finals of the Australian Open by beating Iveta Benesova of the Czech Republic on Monday.
Zvonareva destroyed Benesova 6-4, 6-1, in one hour and 15 minutes at Melbourne Park, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.
The 26-year-old, who has lost in the finals of the last two Grand Slams at Wimbledon and the U.S. Open, next faces Czech’s Petra Kvitova.
Kvitova is through to her first quarter-final in Melbourne following her win over World No.21 Flavia Pennetta 3-6, 6-3, 6-3. (ANI)
