LONDON - Birmingham City came from two goals behind to beat West Ham United 3-1 in the second leg Wednesday and reach the Carling Cup final by a 4-3 aggregate.
BERLIN - Bayern Munich made sure of a place in the semi-finals of the German Cup with a 4-0 drubbing of second-division Alemannia Aachen, but first-division sides Hoffenheim and Kaiserslautern crashed out Wednesday.
MADRID - Real Madrid are well placed to reach the final of the Spanish King's Cup after a 1-0 win away to dull Sevilla Wednesday, in a tense, disjointed semi-final first leg clash.
