Bhupathi-Paes through to Australian Open semi-finals

MELBOURNE - The India Express, Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes, have entered the semi-finals of the Australian Open with a straight sets win over Michael Lodra and Nenad Zimonjic.
The third-seeded pair took an hour and 31 minutes to outclass the French-Serbian pair 6-4, 6-4 in their quarter-final clash at Melbourne Park.
Llodra and Zimonjic had beaten the ‘Indo-Pak Express’ pair of Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi in the previous round, the Age reported.
Bhupathi and Paes will now face the winner of the second quarterfinal between Max Mirnyi and Daniel Nestor and the Polish duo of Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski.
The Indian pair is bidding to win the only Grand Slam title missing from their cabinet. (ANI)
