Davis’ 23 points pace Tennessee Tech in lopsided 95-46 win over NAIA opponent Union (Ky.)

Davis, Tennessee Tech roll over Union (Ky.) 95-46
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — Frank Davis scored 23 points, one short of his career high, as Tennessee Tech overwhelmed Union College (Ky.) 95-46 on Wednesday night.
Davis shot 5-for-9 from 3-point range for the Golden Eagles (6-6). They outshot the Bulldogs (7-8), an NAIA school, 50.7 percent (35-for-69) to 30.9 percent (17-for-55) and outrebounded them 50-28.
Tennessee Tech shot 43.5 percent (10-for-23) on 3-pointers.
Union led 7-0 after the opening 3:49 before Tennessee Tech used a 26-5 run over the next 6:22 for a 26-12 lead, en route to a 46-21 halftime advantage.
Elijah Muhammad scored a career-best 17 points and had six assists and three steals for Tennessee Tech, and Bassey Inameti reached career highs of 14 points and four blocked shots. Kevin Murphy added 15 points.
Darrel Jackson, Payton Ponzer, Dan Penick and Beau Brown each scored eight points to lead Union.
