New Hampshire beats Albany 62-53
ALBANY, N.Y. — Alvin Abreu scored 22 points and Tyrone Conley added 12, leading New Hampshire to a 62-53 win over Albany (N.Y.) on Tuesday night.
Abreu also led the way from 3-point range for New Hampshire (9-13, 4-7 America East Conference), knocking down three long-range shots. Conley and Colbey Santos connected on a pair of 3-pointers apiece for the Wildcats, who finished 7-for-14 from beyond the arc (50 percent).
The Great Danes were just 1-for-13 from 3-point range (7.7 percent).
Albany went on a 5-0 run to open the game, but the Wildcats put together a 12-0 run, capped by back-to-back 3-pointers by Conley, and never trailed again.
New Hampshire led by five points at the break and outscored Albany 35-31 to seal it in the second half.
Mike Black and Fran Urli scored 14 points apiece to pace the Great Danes (6-21, 1-11), who have lost eight straight games.
