College World Series is Omaha’s party central
OMAHA, Neb. — The College World Series will change venues after this year. The party, however, will remain in Omaha, Nebraska.
The Division I baseball championship starts June 19, and when it’s done the lights will be turned out at 62-year-old Rosenblatt Stadium. Next year, the event moves three miles to downtown Omaha, at the new TD Ameritrade Park.
By then, Rosenblatt very well could be demolished to make way for a parking lot for the adjacent zoo. Whatever happens, everyone expects the city’s support of the event to remain strong.
