Wade given temporary custody of sons
MIAMI — Dwyane Wade has gotten temporary custody of his two young sons, ordered by a court in Chicago after ongoing issues regarding visitation schedules between the Miami Heat star and his estranged wife.
It’s a significant step for Wade, who is not only seeking a divorce but sole custody of the boys, ages 8 and 3. A judge in Cook County Court issued the order Wednesday, one day after the 2006 NBA finals MVP resolved four lawsuits — unrelated to the custody fight — over failed business arrangements in Miami.
Wade is due back in court later this month for another hearing related to both the divorce and custody cases. The custody trial is scheduled for mid-July.
