NEBRASKA (GaeaTimes.com)- Big 12 is going through a rough patch of time as some of its league teams are set to join Big 10. As per the reports the Nebraska University football management team is all set to participate in the Big 10 conference breaking its allegiance with the Big 12 thereby. Though nothing has been confirmed either by the Nebraska University officials or by the officials of the Big 12, the recent series of conference realignments by the Nebraska University’s Board of Regents have led many to conclude that they are thinking of a shift to the Big 10. Even the Big 12 officials are now trying hard to hold on to the conference that is going through one of its greatest crisis.
As per reports, both Big 10 and the athletic director of Nebraska Cornhuskers team, Tom Osbourne have declined to comment on the matter and have not disclosed whether the Nebraska University has been invited officially to join the Big 10 conference. On the other hand, the Big 12 had reportedly issued the Nebraska Cornhuskers a deadline of Friday to come up clear with their intentions and to state whether they are interested to continue their allegiance with the Big 12.
Although the Colorado University too is moving out of the Big 12 reportedly, the move of Nebraska Cornhuskers is being considered as a big one as it has been a key team of the Big 12. However, many things remain undecided as of yet as the Nebraska board of regents are scheduled to meet on Friday to discuss the conference realignment according to athletic directors of Big 12 who revealed it to the media sources on condition of anonymity.
