MILWAUKEE (GaeaTimes.com)- Michigan racing tycoon Jack Roush was hospitalized last night following a plane crash at Wittman Air Field in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The accident happened when Jack Roush was trying to land his Hawker Beechcraft Premier 390 which experienced a hard landing and broke in two as a consequence. The plane-crash reportedly occurred at 6:14 p.m. and then the rescuers took the NASCAR owner to a local hospital for immediate aid. The frightful crash stopped take-off and landing operations at the airport as the crews cleaned up the debris of wreckage.
Jack Roush was admitted to Theda Clark Medical Center and Dr. Kevin Wasco, the attending physician, said that the owner of Roush Enterprises suffered severe injuries owing to the plane crash but now he is stable as the injuries are non-life threatening. The other co-passenger along with Jack Roush was Brenda Strickland of Plymouth when the plane crashed without control off the runaway. However, the doctors say that the other victim has also suffered non-life threatening injuries. The president of Roush Fenway Racing, Geoff Smith said that the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame suffered possible injuries but he could walk out of the plane. Geoff Smith also said that the injuries include deep facial cuts.
Jack Roush was attending the Experimental Aircraft Association’s annual AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin this week. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are now leading the investigation into this accident. The news source reports that Jack Roush was also involved in a plane crash in April 2002 when his private plane collided into Alabama Lake. He was, however saved by a retired marine officer Larry Hicks, who pulled unconscious Jack Roush from the plane and admitted him to the hospital.
