Playing solidly off the front foot as well as the back, both the batsmen looked in control of the chase. In spite of the dismissal of Murali Vijay and Suresh Raina (2), the Chennai Superkings never looked under pressure in the final. Their captain MS Dhoni came 2nd down and with the help of Michael Hussey (51*), the IPL champions also became the Champions League Champions.
