INDIANAPOLIS (GaeaTimes.com)- Last night, the New York Jets successfully paved their way for the AFC semi-finals after they clinched victory against the Indianapolis Colts beating them by a score of 17-16. As evident from the results, it is not hard to guess that the night saw a nail-biting victory for the Jets who were hell bent to save their team from being defeated at the hands of Peyton Manning.

Earlier this week, New York Jets coach Rex Ryan had expressed his deep desire to oust the Colts. However, the issue was not merely related to the Colts but something more than that. He had confessed that his actual motif was to beat Peyton Manning which assumed a real shape on Saturday night. The Jets had done their coach proud by not letting Peyton Manning, one of the most successful quarterback of NFL, take on them. It was only 9:59 minutes for the game to end when the New York Jets took a lead of 14-10. However, the Colts are not the ones known to let the game pass away from their hands. As soon as Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri shot up a straight 50 yard goal, Rex Ryan’s heartbeat took a leap.

The Colts by this time were near to the victory as only 57 seconds remained in hand. By the time the Colts were about to take a sigh of relief, Jets kicker Nick Folk ushered in and headed for a 32 yard goal with barely any time left for the game to be over. The Jets fans cheered aloud as the team guaranteed their place in the semi-finals which they will be playing against rivals New England Patriots next Sunday.
