Hines Ward Awarded A Penalty

PITTSBURGH (GaeaTimes.com)- In a game filled with penalties, turnovers and scuffles, the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Baltimore Ravens last night in the NFL playoffs played at Heinz Field, Pittsburgh. At one point, the Baltimore Ravens led by 21-7, they could not do much to ensure victory and Steelers went on to win the game. Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward made a 12-yard catch on a third-and-10. The Pittsburgh Steelers won the game by 31-24. In the same game, Hines Ward was awarded a penalty for the roughness he showed towards Ed Reed, a player of the Baltimore Ravens.

Regarding the penalty that he drew by showing roughness to Ed Reed early in the game, Hines Ward said that he had 4 players beating him up owing to which he was not left with any option. The Steelers wide receiver also went on to say that he and Ed Reed often have their tussles but that does not imply disrespect for the Ravens player. Hines Ward added that the latter probably took the on-field battle a bit personally while adding that these were playoffs and such things could happen on the field. The player also said that if there was a game, and he wanted to win it, he would go to any extent to make sure his team wins. Hines Ward also mentioned that he did not mind the opponent team’s players beating him up, since he was very confident that his team would win the game.

Last night’s game was a major win for the Pittsburgh Steelers, which was very evident from what Hines Ward told the media in an interview following the game.
