Jamison makes debut with Cavaliers off the bench

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Cleveland coach Mike Brown has decided to have Antawn Jamison come off the bench in his first game with the Cavaliers .

Brown said before Friday’s game against Charlotte that he hasn’t decided if he’ll continue to start J.J. Hickson ahead of Jamison long-term.

Jamison indicated he didn’t have a problem with the move as he met with reporters about 45 minutes before tipoff. Jamison acquired from Washington on Wednesday in a three-team trade that gives the Cavaliers a feared frontcourt.

Brown says he would consider sometimes playing LeBron James at shooting guard and Jamison at small forward, but not to start games.

The 32-year-old Jamison was averaging 20.5 points with the Wizards this season.
