ARLINGTON (GaeaTimes.com)- In what was one of the most anticipated fights in recent history, Manny Pacquiao took on Antonio Margarito in the World Boxing Council (WBC) super welterweight title fight. Reports indicate that Manny Pacquiao has dominated the fight through and through and the Mexican struggled to find form against the sensational PACMAN. In the end, the Filipino proved that he was here to stay as the WBC super welterweight champion.

Manny Pacquiao started off well in the first round in spite of appearing smaller than the Mexican. Though Antonio Margarito landed some good blows initially, Manny Pacquiao managed to get the big blows on the Mexican. In the second round, the referee checked for wounds after the two butted heads. Manny Pacquiao managed to avoid Antonio Margarita’s jab but the Mexican held on to connect one of his hooks in the round. In the third round, Manny Pacquiao began to assert himself in the fight and started to circle the Mexican fighter. Though Antonio Margarita appeared slightly slow in comparison to the Philippine sensation, he managed to land one very heavy shot. Though Manny Pacquiao looked like he blocked it, he appeared slightly shaken by its intensity.

In the 4th round Antonio Margarito drove Manny Pacquiao to the ropes but he was no match for the Filipino’s speed. Manny Pacquiao came to his own in the 6th round and delivered an 1-2-3-4. The Mexican tried to land a blow in his effort to recover, but PACMAN was wise enough to move his head away at the right moment. The fight continued till the 12 round before the judges declared Manny Pacquiao as the winner.
