MEERUT, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Indian cricketer Praveen Kumar tied the knot with his childhood sweet heart Sapna Choudhary yesterday. The gala ceremony was celebrated in style and latest videos show Praveen Kumar mounted on a horse and looking like an Indian Maharaja. Due to the professional assignments, several domestic and international level Indian cricketers had to give the ceremony a miss. The marriage, however, came at a right time for Praveen Kumar as he is not a part of the Indian squad in the test series against New Zealand. In December however, Praveen Kumar might be recalled back into the Indian side when it faces New Zealand in the ODIs.

Praveen Kumar’s brother, Vinay Kumar spoke to the media on the day of the marriage and said that the wedding would be a simple affair. He explained that Praveen Kumar himself does not like much pomp and show. He also added that the focus of the ceremony would be the hospitality of the guests which consists of the close friends and relatives. According to reports, around 3000 people were scheduled to attend the wedding but it is unclear whether all the expected guests turned up.

Praveen Kumar had also spoken to the media recently and said that he was aware of the fact that the ongoing test series between India and New Zealand would not allow most of his Indian teammates to be there. He added that he was hoping that Indian Captain MS Dhoni and left-handed batsman Suresh Raina might make it to his marriage. Praveen Kumar is a right handed swing bowler who has been quite successful for India in the one-dayers. He has also performed well in the IPL for the Bangalore Royal Challengers.
