Lorenzen Wright Dies At 34

MEMPHIS (GaeaTimes.com)- Former American basketball player Lorenzen Wright’s body has been found in a wooded area in southeast Memphis yesterday. The ex-NBA player’s uncle Curtis Wright officially confirmed the news to the media. The former NBA player has been missing since last week and his family appealed for his appearance by filing a missing person report on July 22. The police sources say that the player had been mercilessly shot multiple times which led to his demise.

Lorenzen Wright’s uncle Curtis Wright told a reputed media source that the police called the former University of Memphis star’s father Herb Wright yesterday afternoon and with the news that his son had died. After hearing this shocking news, Camella Logan, a cousin of Lorenzen Wright issued a statement on behalf of the family which said that Lorenzen Wright’s family has gathered together to “mourn” his loss and “honor” his legacy. The statement addressed the media and also fans of the former NBA player where it was said that the family appreciated their thoughts, prayers and “condolences” but requested to respect the “privacy” of the family as they try to cope with their loss.

Lorenzen Wright devoted his 13 years in NBA playing for the Los Angeles Clippers, Atlanta Hawks, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings and Cleveland Cavaliers. Penny Hardaway, the NBA player of Memphis Grizzlies was shocked and sad to hear the death news of Lorenzen Wright. The player said to a reputed media source that he cried after hearing the news of sudden death of the veteran player as emotions hit him at random. Penny Hardaway also added that Lorenzen Wright did not deserve to die in such a manner.
