INGLEWOOD (GaeaTimes.com)- The 6-year-old mare Zenyatta came out victorious in the Lady’s Secret Stakes in Oak Tree Meeting at Hollywood Park on Saturday. There was great suspense in the race as Zenyatta was on third position at the eight pole and Switch was ahead of her by three lengths. At this crucial moment, Zenyatta accelerated her pace and to the great delight of her fans, finished first in the race. Zenyatta is highly popular for creating suspense and intrigue in a match and make it as entertaining as possible. Her trainer John Shirreffs was delighted beyond words and piled Zenyatta with praises.

Jockey Mike Smith was beside himself with joy and said that riding Zenyatta feels as if one is in a Ferrari and the others are not, she seems ready to switch gears whenever he wants. He further commented on her speed and expressed surprise that she could move so smoothly despite having a big body. Zenyatta is the same horse who was sold at a bargain price of $60,000 in 2005 and over the years went on to win many much-coveted titles.

With Saturday’s victory, Zenyatta has 19 consecutive wins to her credit but a bigger challenge is looming in front of her. This final race of her career could either disappoint her fans or this match could immortalize her name in history. Zenyatta has just one race left before her retirement. The Breeders Cup Classic at Churchill Downs scheduled for next month is likely to be her last race. This final race is what everyone is waiting for. The date is November 6 when Zenyatta will get the chance to retire with a 20 consecutive win.
