MINNEAPOLIS (GaeaTimes.com)- The Brett Favre Jenn Sterger controversy reached a new height on Friday when the National Football League confirmed that it would look into the allegations that has been leveled against the Minnesota Vikings player. A website created quite a stir earlier this week when it reported that the star quarterback had sent racy messages and lewd pictures to New York Jets reporter Jenn Sterger when he was associated with the team. Not only did the online portal make the rather disturbing revelation, it also went on to post a video that included below-the waist pictures of allegedly the 40-year-old Minnesota Vikings player.

On Friday, National Football League spokesperson Greg Aiello announced that the league would be reviewing the matter and an investigation has been initiated to ascertain the authenticity of the claims that has been made by the website against Brett Favre. If the Minnesota Vikings quarterback is indeed found to be guilty of sending the lewd text messages and pictures to Jenn Sterger which violates the NFL player’s conduct rule then the noted player would be fined or he might also be suspended.

In the meanwhile, Brett Favre has refused to shed any light into the allegations that have leveled against him when he was asked about the Jenn Sterger photo controversy in a press conference on Thursday. While addressing the reporters, the Minnesota Vikings player said “I’m not getting into that” while emphasizing that he would not be discussing any other subject apart from the games. Jenn Sterger, 26 who was working for New York Jets during the time of the incident, is now associated with a sports channel.
