HARRISBURG (GaeaTimes.com)- The giant mascot head of broadcaster and ESPN football analyst Lee Corso was recovered Monday morning after it had gone missing earlier on Saturday. The head was found back by an Oregon State University employee, who then informed the police. Two former University of Oregon students have been accused of the theft

The Oregon State Police have identified the two accused as 26 year old August Cuneo and 25 year old Alexander Westerberg. According to sources, police believe that the two accused never graduated from the university. Oregon State Police Lieutenant Jeff Lanz said that the Oregon State University employee told them that he had found the mascot head of Lee Corso near his vehicle at his Harrisburg home. What came up from the police investigations reveal that August Cuneo was taking a stroll in the Oregon State University campus when his eyes caught the site of the mascot head. He immediately took it and it in the bushes. Later his pal Alexander Westerberg arrived in a car and the both set off for Eugene. Police says that the two were doubtful as to whether they should keep it with them or not. Probably this was the reason for which the duo later on chose to drop it off at the employee’ house.

The mascot head of Lee Corso costs $5,000 and had gone missing from the set of “GameDay” around 3:20 pm after the annual match where Oregon defeated Oregon State by a 37-20. ESPN workers cleaning the sets post match found the giant grinning head missing from its box. Sources, claim that preparations are being taken to return the head back.
